Ms. Natalie Avontuur
Natalie is an advanced Classically trained instructor on mat and all apparatus and enjoys helping client’s gain strength, confidence and an in depth mind- body connection through corrective movement. She discovered the traditional Pilates method while training with Brita and decided to immerse herself in the work.
Sessions with Natalie are filled with kindness, compassion, challenge and detailed instruction. Her expertise lies in working with clients working through cancer, rehabilitation, anxiety and trauma. She also thrives in assisting those working through low back, knee or hip issues and injuries.

Ms. Maggie Lin
Maggie began her fitness journey in 2014 lifting weights and practicing Yoga in Taipei. Exploring a multitude of physical activities fostered her knowledge of kinesiology and built a passion for movement and health. However, Maggie was met with chronic knee pain from an ankle injury. In 2018, aiming to relieve this pain, she discovered Pilates in Hong Kong. Pilates not only rehabilitated her injury, but also brought additional benefits including improved mobility, body control, and overall energy and strength.
Recognizing the potential of Pilates, Maggie moved to Vancouver in 2021 to train under some of the best Pilates teachers worldwide, directly under the lineage of Joseph Pilates. Maggie graduated from the 950-hour Beyond Pilates Teacher Training Program under Noam Gagnon. Maggie continues to deepen her understanding in the human body and graduated from the Franklin Method Level 1 training. She brings a wealth of knowledge and benefits to her students from relieving back pain and improving overall mobility to unlocking their full movement and performance potential.

Heather Bains
Heather is a Certified Pilates instructor from PhysicalMind Institute Canada. She began her movement journey from a young age, where she played and competed in every sport she could, but always with her primary focus on dance. She began practicing Pilates in 2015, where she discovered Pilates’ rehabilitative healing powers after she had been dealing with pain from a car accident years prior. Pilates was the only thing that helped long term and taught her a deeper understanding of her body.
After going through her second major car accident last year, she found herself healing through Pilates again. Heather believes in the power of connecting deeper within our bodies and expanding further into our mind body connection to truly heal from within. Through movement and breathe, Heather believes our bodies can transform from pain and trauma. She finds inspiration in helping her clients discover their bodies depth and proper alignment. Heather aims to help challenge her clients’ strength, mobility, flexibility and lengthen their spines to even grow a little taller!

Brita Unger Studio Owner / Pilates instructor
Brita is a Certified Classical Pilates instructor whose practice and teachings apply the broad principles of Pilates to help others on their quest to a greater level of physical excellence. As a former competitive gymnast, her love for sports and fitness and interest in body mechanics is what attracted her to Pilates. She is passionate about helping others achieve their physical goals through the principles and applications of the method.
With over 1000hrs of training Brita is mat and apparatus certified through the Boulder Pilates Centre, one of the most comprehensive programs in the world. Over the past 7 years, she has been working with a large range of clients from age 14-95 improving coordination, balance and core strength as well as coordinating with physiotherapists in alleviating pain and injury rehabilitation. Her focus is on correcting misalignments, promoting new muscular patterns and increasing core strength to uniformly develop the body.
In addition to the above she has also trained in soft tissue release, therapeutic massage and active assisted stretching. Other additional areas of training and experience are: - Bunions - Frozen shoulder - Sports injuries - Knee/ankle injuries - Rotator Cuff - Hypermobility - Workplace ergonomics - Pre-post natal - Hip replacement pre and post op

Anh Phan
Anh came to Vancouver, Canada in 2016. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and a Master’s degree in Public Health. After suffering from a repetitive strain injury from computer-related shoulder pain, Anh began to practice Pilates and was amazed by the healing powers of the classical method. She then trained and graduated from the Classical Pilates Teacher Training Program at Boditree Pilates & Healing located in Vancouver, BC.
Her passion is to help clients embrace life-changing experiences in their bodies, to be stronger and healthier. She is calm, supportive, detail-oriented, and fun to work with. Anh likes to spend her time with friends, read, bake, draw, and learn more about Pilates and nutrition.

Susana Ponce
Susana is a certified Pilates Instructor through the PhysicalMind Institute Canada. Her Pilates journey began over 6 years ago and she has been mentored by teachers with Boulder and Stott Certifications.
Susana found healing and mobility in her own body after choosing Pilates as a means of rehabilitation after a surgery. A few years later, she was involved in a car accident that left her with long term neck and back pain. Pilates has helped her manage her pain and facilitate mobility again. She also found Pilates helpful during her pregnancy, assisting her in finding deep inner connection during her labour, and in her postnatal Pelvic Floor recovery. Her focus is on helping clients recovering from breast surgeries such as Mastectomies, Pre/Postnatal, and neck pain.
Susana believes in the Mind-Body connection and that movement is medicine. Through movement, you can align all aspects of your life, both physically and mentallly. She meets each client with compassion and encourages them to find a deeper connection within their own body. Susana hopes to foster an environment where client’s feel comfortable to explore movement with a sense of curiosity and appreciation for where they are that day.
